The Bolesławiec District Police Headquarters received financial support from the Mayor of Bolesławiec to acquire two service dogs. The first purchase has already been completed. KPP:
A German Shepherd has joined the Bolesławiec unit and is currently attending specialist training with his handler at the Police Dog Training Centre in Sułkowice.
And adds:
The German Shepherd, whose service name is RAGA, will be trained as a patrol and tracking dog and will perform these duties after returning to Bolesławiec.
Service dogs play a very important role in the Police. They patrol the streets, take part in interventions and in securing mass events, apprehend dangerous criminals, and search for missing people. They have abilities that people lack but that are needed in police work.
It is worth adding that the new headquarters has a special building for service dogs. KPP: – Each four-legged officer will have excellent conditions for resting after intensive service in the field.
