Municipal police officers from Lubań:
Recently, the operator of one of the self-service car washes noticed that the vehicle bays were being repeatedly littered with municipal waste brought in by customers and then deposited around the containers that the operator had placed for the facility’s users.
What is more, in one case the bay and its fencing were also contaminated with a staining substance.
On 4 August—thanks to the appropriate response of the car wash operator, who reported the matter and provided evidence—officers tracked down a 27-year-old resident of Lubań County. The officers established that several days earlier, while washing his vehicle, he had emptied the trunk of municipal waste: paper, plastic and textile material. In doing so, he “littered the area around a publicly accessible container.”

Additionally, before leaving, the man contaminated the bay and other elements of the car wash infrastructure with a staining substance—which, under the regulations, he should have delivered to a PSZOK—without taking the trouble to repair the damage caused.
They add:
The perpetrator, aware that his conduct was unlawful, was fined PLN 500. Had he exercised his right to refuse the fine, he would have awaited the date of criminal proceedings at the local court, which may impose a fine of up to PLN 5,000 for this act.
