The incident took place on June 3. A collision occurred at the exit from Intermarche. We reported on it in the article: Two cars collide on Tysiąclecia Avenue. One person injured.
Kazimierz Marczewski, who prepares reports from various events, was also at the scene. He often interferes with other journalists through his behavior, stepping in front of the camera, entering areas designated for event guests, and so on. This time, he decided to cross the road directly, even though there was no crosswalk there and the proper crossing was nearby. We recorded it on video and published the footage.
After the footage was shown, Kazimierz Marczewski’s editorial team claimed that “in the video, in which he plays the main role, it was shown that no provisions of the road traffic code had been violated.” Well, not quite...
Some time passed, and the police took up the matter. Marczewski received a summons to the police station. He was questioned, expressed remorse and... received a reprimand instead of a fine. There you have it!
– Journalists are not sacred cows who can do whatever they want. Just like everyone else, we are subject to road traffic regulations. I am glad that the police took a moment to make Mr. Marczewski aware of this. The reprimand was entirely justified, says Krzysztof Gwizdała from the istotne.pl website.
