Customs and Tax Service officers inspected one of the courier companies in Wrocław. During the inspection of courier parcels, they found marijuana and ecstasy tablets.

But that was not the end of it. – During operations on the A4 motorway, near Zgorzelec, officers from the Lower Silesian Customs and Tax Office in Wrocław selected a car carrying four Polish citizens for inspection – reports Agnieszka Rzeźnicka-Gniadek, spokesperson for the Lower Silesian KAS.

She adds:

During the search of the car, officers found marijuana in one of the passengers’ luggage. The drugs were hidden in packets of crisps. One person was detained. The case was handed over to Police officers. In both cases, the Police launched an investigation under the supervision of the prosecutor’s office.

The result? The smuggling of 825.41 g of marijuana and 100 ecstasy tablets, with a street value of nearly PLN 45,000, was prevented.
