– Officers from the Police Station in Nowogrodziec, while investigating the theft of an electric bicycle from private property, determined that a very similar bicycle was being offered for sale on a social media platform – reports Staff Aspirant Anna Kublik-Rościszewska, press officer of the District Police Headquarters in Bolesławiec.
Indeed, the 37-year-old wanted to sell the bicycle obtained through a crime committed on June 24 in Parowa.

The bicycle, worth PLN 6,500, was recovered, and the suspect, a resident of Bolesławiec County, was arrested. The man told police that he had bought the bicycle at an exceptionally bargain price—PLN 600—and wanted to sell it for a profit.
The 37-year-old had already been convicted of crimes against property. He now faces up to 7.5 years in prison. The bicycle was returned to its owner. Efforts are now under way to identify and arrest the perpetrator of the theft. The offense carries a sentence of between three months and as much as five years in prison.
