– Officers from the Patrol Unit of the Lubań police station arrested the perpetrator of a brazen theft. The man snatched an electronic cigarette from the victim’s hands and then stabbed him with a knife in order to retain the stolen item – reports aspirant staff officer Justyna Bujakiewicz-Rodzeń, press officer of the District Police Headquarters in Lubań. – While third parties were restraining the intoxicated aggressor, the victims suffered cuts. The injured parties were transported to hospital.
The aggressor, a 29-year-old resident of Lubań County, was arrested. At the time of the incident, he was drunk; his blood alcohol level exceeded one per mille. What is more, narcotic substances were found on him.
The spokesperson: – The evidence collected by officers from the Criminal Investigation Department, including interviews with the victims, confirmed that the suspect had committed the act in an aggressive and brutal manner.
By court decision, the 29-year-old was remanded in custody for two months. The attacker may face up to ten years in prison.
