“On behalf of the Republic of Poland, I hereby present you with this weapon” – these were the words heard by the recruits from the commander of the armored brigade, Col. Grzegorz Barabieda. Unit: – Each soldier proudly took the rifle in his hands, then loudly and decisively replied: “For the glory of the Fatherland!”
The uniformed personnel add: – The faces of the soldiers standing in formation showed reflection. Some of them certainly remembered the first time they held a weapon in their hands—something that handling is second nature to every soldier.
The recruits now face weeks of training, during which they will learn, among other things, how to operate the aforementioned weapon. Their first shots at the firing range and the smell of gunpowder await them. Before that, however, they must learn the theory.
