On Sunday morning, Bolesławiec police received a report that a passenger vehicle was driving against traffic on the A4 motorway toward the border. – The police patrol immediately went to the scene and stopped the vehicle near the village of Szczytnica – reports Staff Aspirant Anna Kublik-Rościszewska, press officer of the County Police Headquarters in Bolesławiec.
It turned out that an 80-year-old German citizen was behind the wheel of the passenger car. The man was sober. He explained to the police officers that he had confused the exits. Fortunately, traffic on the A4 was light on Sunday morning, so no one was hurt.
The German was fined PLN 2,000.
