The incident took place on Sunday, May 29. Volunteer firefighters from Krzyżowa:
(...) at 9:46 p.m., we were dispatched to a fire involving a streetlamp in the town of Nowa Wieś. When our unit arrived, it was found that the lamp’s lampshade had burned and fallen to the ground.
They added:
Our task was to secure the scene until the arrival of the emergency power service.
Fortunately, no one was injured. Firefighters from Bolesławiec and Krzyżowa took part in the operation.
