At the beginning of the week, police officers from the Bolesławiec criminal division took action in Nowogrodziec Municipality after receiving information about a wanted person. The officers spotted the wanted man's vehicle and began taking action. When the man behind the wheel realized that he might soon be arrested by the officers, he attempted to flee. The man wanted under an arrest warrant was arrested following a chase.
During the operation, officers found methamphetamine and marijuana on him. The 29-year-old is to serve an eight-month prison sentence. The offender was charged with six counts, including failing to stop for a traffic check, violating a court-imposed ban and possessing drugs.
Driving a vehicle despite a court-imposed ban and failing to stop for a traffic check are punishable by up to five years in prison; drug possession is punishable by up to three years in prison.
