During their service in Zgorzelec, officers from the Zgorzelec SPEED group spotted a Fiat in which a person wanted by the justice system might have been travelling. – Together with officers from the Criminal Division, the police wanted to stop the driver for a roadside check. However, despite the light and sound signals ordering him to stop the vehicle, he accelerated and began to flee – reports Commissioner Agnieszka Goguł, press officer of the Zgorzelec District Police Headquarters. – After driving several kilometres, the Fiat driver hit a parked Renault, also damaging his own vehicle, and then began to flee on foot.
It did not help much. The fugitive was arrested shortly afterwards.
