We have already reported at the beginning of May on the problematic turn-off from General Nila Street (DK94) to the Dino market and Elite motel, as well as the related doubts of some drivers. We decided to return to the subject and ask the Bolesławiec police about the correct use of this turn-off. Our questions are answered by junior inspector Tomasz Kazimierczuk, Head of the Traffic Department of the County Police Headquarters in Bolesławiec.
Editorial staff: Drivers traveling along DK94 from the town center toward the Dino store should now use this direct right turn after the bus stop and bus bay.
Junior inspector Tomasz Kazimierczuk: Yes. Drivers must use the entrance after the bus stop.
They can no longer directly use the turn-off from Nila Street into Różana Street and drive to the motel and Dino, because there is a solid line there.
A driver may not enter Różana Street through the intersection with Nila Street.
They may, however, turn from Nila Street into Różana Street, continue along it, make a U-turn, and then, when approaching Nila Street, turn right before it onto the road leading to the motel and Dino.
They can make a U-turn on Różana Street and then enter the motel and Dino via the lower entrance-exit.
Drivers traveling from the direction of Brzeźnik toward the town center who want to reach Dino and the motel should either continue straight on DK94 and make a U-turn, for example at the roundabout near Zgorzelecka Street, then return and use the right turn after the bus bay and bus stop. They can also turn into Różana Street, continue along it, make a U-turn, and then, when approaching Nila Street, turn right before it and drive to the motel and Dino.
A driver may not cross a double solid line or a line that may be crossed from one side only; they must therefore make a U-turn in a permitted place and enter the store parking lot in accordance with the regulations.
What fine can be imposed for crossing the solid line at this location?
The fine for an offense involving driving onto or crossing a double solid line or a line that may be crossed from one side only is PLN 200.
