Police officers on patrol detained two men aged 47 and 53. The suspects were caught shortly after officers received a report of the theft of metal windowsills from the closed Children’s Ward of the Hospital in Nowa Ruda (Kłodzko County).

– The perpetrators loaded the previously dismantled windowsills onto a trolley, hoping to sell the loot – reports junior inspector Wojciech Jabłoński from the press team of the Provincial Police Headquarters in Wrocław. – Fortunately, the officers’ immediate response thwarted the criminal operation.

The hospital administration estimated the losses at approximately 700 zlotys. The stolen property was secured. The would-be thieves were charged and admitted their guilt. They now face up to five years in prison.
