Spring is conducive to the discovery of unexploded ordnance.

An anti-personnel mine was found on a property in Zgorzelec County. Our bomb-disposal specialists handled the dangerous find.

The Bolesławiec bomb-disposal specialists also intervened in Kraśnik Górny. The reason? An anti-personnel grenade that was found in a garden.


As Patrol Saperski Bolesławiec reports:

Our page is dedicated to educating the public about the dangers posed by unexploded ordnance, misfired ammunition, and explosive and dangerous objects of military origin, as well as the rules to follow after finding them.

It should be remembered that explosives used in military technology are, in practice, completely resistant to weather conditions and retain their explosive properties regardless of their production date.

The bomb-disposal specialists add:

If you have any suspicion about a found object, call the bomb-disposal specialists.

They will eliminate the danger; they are properly trained for this.

What should you do if you find unexploded ordnance or misfired ammunition?

  1. Do not touch the object.
  2. Secure the area from bystanders, such as children, and mark it.
  3. Immediately report the matter by calling the emergency number 112; notify the police, municipal police, fire brigade, or forestry service.
