The incident took place during the holiday weekend, at night, near the Railway Police Station of the Provincial Police Headquarters in Wrocław (in the vicinity of the Main Railway Station in the capital of Lower Silesia). – Police officers who were in the station at the time heard loud banging and cracking sounds coming from outside the window. Keeping in mind the safety of people in the area, they immediately ran outside to check what had happened – reports junior asp. Aleksandra Pieprzycka from the press team of the Wrocław Provincial Police Headquarters. – Outside the building, right next to a parked police car, stood a man holding fragments of paving blocks in his hand, which had previously filled gaps in the surface there.
The police officers stopped the vandal from causing further damage to property. The 42-year-old, who pelted the police vehicle with paving blocks and stones, smashed the side and windscreen glass, and damaged the paintwork on various parts in numerous places. The damage was estimated at several thousand zlotys.
It became clear from the initial conversation that the man had acted this way to vent his frustration. Interestingly, he was completely... sober. Nevertheless, he was taken to police custody.
Let us recall that this type of crime carries a sentence of between three months and as much as five years in prison.
