From Saturday to Monday, Bolesławiec police officers carried out 121 interventions, checked 88 vehicles and more than 450 people. Officers: “During this year’s Easter holidays, there were no road accidents on the roads of Bolesławiec County. Officers recorded 12 collisions and detained 4 intoxicated drivers, including drivers subject to a court driving ban and those whose driving licences had been revoked.

The Holidays Through the Police’s Eyes

  • In Bolesławiec, traffic police detained an intoxicated driver; the 23-year-old was driving with 1.4 per mille of alcohol in his system.
  • District officers detained a 31-year-old in the Nowogrodziec municipality who, with 2 per mille of alcohol in his system, lost control of the vehicle, left the road and hit a pole.
  • A 21-year-old from Bolesławiec was also detained after getting behind the wheel of a passenger car with more than 0.5 per mille of alcohol in his system.
  • Another intoxicated driver was apprehended by a resident of Bolesławiec County. Police took custody of the 30-year-old and checked his sobriety. The test showed more than 3 per mille of alcohol in his exhaled breath.
  • In the Nowogrodziec municipality, officers detained a 27-year-old who was driving despite a court ban.
  • In Bolesławiec municipality, officers detained a 31-year-old who got behind the wheel despite having had his driving privileges revoked.

The perpetrator responsible for damaging a vehicle was also detained. (The 25-year-old had additionally violated a court order to leave his place of residence.)

In addition, officers detained two people in possession of narcotic substances, as well as a criminal wanted by the District Court in Bolesławiec. What is more, they searched for a 74-year-old female resident of Bolesławiec County. (The patrol found the woman.)

During the holiday weekend, Bolesławiec police officers also detained two perpetrators of fuel theft at a station. The suspects have already been charged with stealing property worth nearly PLN 1,300.
