The theft took place on January 9 in Nowe Żukowice near Tarnów. The man stole a wildlife camera worth several thousand złoty. However, it managed to photograph him and send the thief’s image to the system. Police are asking for help identifying the man.

Police statement

The as-yet unidentified perpetrator, travelling with a passenger in a silver car, probably a Ford Kuga, stopped on the road running beneath the A4 motorway viaduct. He then tore down a wildlife camera placed in a metal box, monitoring an animal crossing located along the A4 motorway between the Tarnów Północ (Krzyż) interchange and the border of the Małopolskie and Podkarpackie voivodeships (Stara Jastrząbka). He took the device, worth several thousand złoty, together with its equipment, which had been attached to a fence post, and drove away. Before it was switched off, the wildlife camera managed to record the inside of the perpetrator’s car.
