On Sunday, 13 March, we reported on the littered municipal pond in Bolesławiec. On Monday, 14 March, employees of MZGM in Bolesławiec cleaned the site. Rubbish thrown into the pond was removed, and the area around the water reservoir was cleaned.

In addition to plastic bags, cans and other rubbish, plastic bottles that had previously contained some petroleum-based substance, probably engine oil, were also removed from the pond.

This raises the question: How can people do this? Will people never change? How can anyone throw waste into a reservoir inhabited by fish, ducks and swans? You just have to despair...

We thank the employees of MZGM in Bolesławiec for their quick response and for cleaning the site. At the same time, we remind readers that littering public places is punishable by a fine.

Code of Petty Offences:

Art. 145. Anyone who pollutes or litters places accessible to the public, in particular a road, street, square, garden, lawn or green space, is liable to a fine of up to 500 zlotys or a reprimand.
