On March 9, driver training for the 11th Lubusz Armored Cavalry Division took place at the Świętoszów training ground. Its aim was to improve the soldiers’ skills so that they could adapt to unfavorable conditions during operations.
During the exercises, the drivers negotiated difficult terrain obstacles, climbed elevations and drove across boggy ground. However, they began with the basics—adjusting the driver’s seat. This is one of the most important things. The proper distance from the steering wheel guarantees a wide range of arm movement, while a bent leg on the brake pedal provides stability and strength during sudden braking.
Negotiating difficult terrain was the second topic. The soldiers could test their skills while driving on sand and steep slopes. Such passages guaranteed an adrenaline rush. There were also situations in which one vehicle had to tow another. The drivers also treated this as part of the exercise.
