The woman who was injured in the fire on Wojska Polskiego Avenue in February has died. Mrs Krystyna was 60 years old. The funeral ceremony will take place this week at the municipal cemetery in Bolesławiec.
Let us recall. The incident occurred on Saturday, 12 February, after 10:00 p.m. The fire broke out in an apartment on the second floor. The building had been a workers’ hotel many years ago. Some of the building’s residents went outside.
Firefighters evacuated a woman from the burning apartment. They provided her with qualified first aid (oxygen therapy was administered and thermal comfort was ensured). Several people were injured as a result of the fire. They were attended to by emergency medical teams. A total of 35 people were evacuated from the building.
Six fire service units were present at the scene (3x PSP Bolesławiec, OSP Ocice, OSP Warta Bolesławiecka and OSP Nowogrodziec), along with two emergency medical teams, the gas emergency service, the building manager and the police.

[…] at 10:09 p.m., a report was received by the Command Post of the County Commander of the State Fire Service in Bolesławiec concerning a fire in an apartment on the second floor of a multi-family building on Wojska Polskiego Avenue in Bolesławiec. Upon the arrival of the Fire Protection Units, it was determined that the stairwell was smoky and thick smoke was coming from the windows of one apartment. Some residents were outside the building. Firefighters were informed by the building’s residents that an injured person might be in the apartment where the fire had broken out.

The units secured the scene, evacuated the injured woman from the burning apartment and provided her with qualified first aid (oxygen therapy was administered and thermal comfort was ensured).
A total of 35 residents were evacuated, and 4 people received medical assistance. (They were all handed over to emergency medical teams).
Firefighters: – After the firefighting operations had ended, the building was ventilated and charred household furnishings were removed from the apartment.
