The Bolesławiec DKF has operated continuously since 2007, having belonged to the Polish Federation of Film Discussion Clubs from the very beginning. Its programme always features many art-house films, titles awarded at international festivals, ambitious cinema and classics.
The format of the meetings remains unchanged. Screenings are accompanied by presentations and discussion. Viewers meet regularly: every Monday at a fixed time. All lovers of art-house cinema can take part in the DKF meetings.
In 2012, DKF_BOK was honoured during the 5th edition of the Polish Film Institute Awards, receiving the award in the “film discussion club” category!
Monday evening (21 February) was therefore a small celebration of cinema. Viewers arriving along the red carpet were welcomed by film music performed by a duo of BOK musicians, commemorative speeches, a film screening and gifts prepared by film distributors.
The 15th-anniversary celebration was enhanced by a concert by the band CZERWIE, while the screen featured a combination of classic and modern sounds: the silent, black-and-white film “The Kid”, a touching yet humorous story about the adventures of the unforgettable Charlie Chaplin.
