Well-known right-wing commentator Łukasz Warzecha, who has recently often criticized the policies of Law and Justice, responded on Twitter to information we published on our website on 22 February:

PLN 2,000 for entering a crossing while the barriers were BEING RAISED, that is, when there is practically no danger at all. Can a state that subjects its citizens to such idiocies and simply blatantly fleeces them be respected?

In his tweet, the commentator used a screenshot from istotne.pl.

Let us recall that on Tuesday we reported:

Traffic police stopped a man at one of the railway crossings after he committed an offense. The officers said:

The driver entered the track area while the barriers were being raised.

The 27-year-old from Bolesławiec County was hurrying to work and received a PLN 2,000 fine.

The uniformed officers added:

We remind you that a new penalty schedule has been in force since January. Entering a railway crossing on a red light, while the barriers are being lowered or raised, or going around lowered barriers carries a fine of at least PLN 2,000.
