The incident took place on Sunday, 13 February, in the village of Osła, near the economic zone. At around 5:00 p.m., the driver of a Volkswagen Polo lost control of the vehicle and went off the road.
The witness, suspecting that the perpetrator was intoxicated, took the keys away from the driver, a 29-year-old Ukrainian citizen.
The witness's suspicions were confirmed: the Ukrainian was completely drunk; he had more than 3 per mille of alcohol in his system.
The 29-year-old was arrested and now faces up to two years in prison.
