The incident took place on Wednesday, February 2, on Chrobrego Street in Bolesławiec. After 6:00 a.m., the driver of a Citroën, a 54-year-old resident of Bolesławiec, was leaving Żwirki i Wigury Street and turning toward the PKP railway station when he hit a woman on a pedestrian crossing.

She was taken to hospital with a head injury. Fortunately, however, she did not suffer anything more serious.

The driver was sober and was fined PLN 1,500.

Bolesławiec officers:

We appeal to drivers to exercise particular caution around pedestrian crossings. Changing weather conditions significantly reduce visibility.
