Kamil Barczyk, director of the Zespół Opieki Zdrowotnej in Bolesławiec, said in an interview for onet.pl that the upcoming fifth wave of the coronavirus epidemic was approaching:
Even taking into account that, in the end, the Omicron variant is probably not as virulent as Delta, the scale of infections will be so great that it may overload the system.
It was also mentioned that over 90% of deaths at the Bolesławiec county hospital are unvaccinated people.
Which patients with COVID are admitted to the hospital?
As the head of the ZOZ admitted, some of them are “radical anti-vaxxers” who, despite having had the disease, firmly declare that they still will not get vaccinated. There is also another, less radical group. The director said:
[...] they include [do niej] people who supposedly wanted to get vaccinated but kept putting it off. For various reasons. Until they finally became ill and ended up on oxygen. Then they tell doctors: “now I would get vaccinated,” “I was stupid, I’m sorry,” or “I’ll get vaccinated when I leave the hospital.” But many of them never leave; they die instead.
Kamil Barczyk also mentioned the so-called COVID fraudsters. Asked whether vaccinations should be mandatory, the director replied:
In my opinion, yes.
