The incident occurred last Monday. “Two adults and a 6-year-old child were travelling in a Renault passenger car. The driver was a 29-year-old resident of Złotoryja County,” reports sergeant Dominika Kwakszys, press officer for the District Police Headquarters in Złotoryja.
She adds:
While driving through Wojciechów, the man at one point lost control of the vehicle, veered onto the roadside and then hit a tree.
The 6-year-old was injured in the incident and taken to hospital. Fortunately, the child did not suffer any serious injuries. (The other people did not require hospitalisation.)
Moreover, it emerged that the driver was drunk; he had approximately one per mille of alcohol in his breath. The 29-year-old has already lost his driving licence, and now faces, among other things, up to two years in prison.
