On Thursday (30 December), during the morning hours, on the section of the A4 motorway between Bolesławiec and the border, officers from the Traffic Department of the County Police Headquarters in Bolesławiec conducted intensive vehicle checks and preventive activities.
The uniformed officers, together with employees of the General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways, had a special gift for road users. Drivers received reflective vests, which ensure that they are clearly visible on the road.
A motorway is a particularly dangerous road when it is necessary to leave a vehicle due to a breakdown or road incident. Wearing a reflective vest makes it possible to be seen from a distance and allows other road users approaching the obstruction on the motorway to react safely. Especially during autumn and winter, when weather conditions are changeable and darkness falls quickly, it is worth keeping a vest in the car to ensure safety in an emergency.
