Bolesławiec police officers stopped a van on the A4 for inspection. It was being driven by a resident of Lubuskie Voivodeship. KPP:

During the inspection, police officers detected the smell of alcohol from the 47-year-old man. A sobriety test showed nearly 1 per mille of alcohol in his exhaled air.

What is more, it turned out that by getting behind the wheel while drunk, the man had committed another offence: he had violated a court-imposed driving ban that remains in force until August next year.

The 47-year-old was driving along the motorway to Zgorzelec County, where he currently works. He admitted that he had previously drunk a beer. The irresponsible driver now faces up to five years in prison.
