The incident occurred on November 22, after 12 p.m., on provincial road No. 331 (the exit toward Chocianów). While overtaking a vehicle operated by a worker using a machine for rehabilitating road verges, the driver of an Audi Q7 moved into the left side of the road, where he struck a pedestrian—a worker directing traffic in connection with ongoing roadworks.
The suspect then drove into a roadside tree and fled the scene. KWP:
During the investigation, police determined that the vehicle he was driving had been stolen in Germany. Based on the information collected in the case, police specialists from the Forensic Laboratory of the Provincial Police Headquarters in Wrocław prepared a composite image of the suspect in the fatal accident.
