The 11th Armoured Cavalry Division was represented at the Command and Reconnaissance Subunits of the Rocket Forces and Artillery Combat Utility Competition by a reconnaissance team from the 23rd Artillery Regiment, comprising:
- junior warrant officer Krzysztof Fekieta,
- senior corporal Radosław Machnij,
- senior private Stanisław Grasza,
- private Dominik Solpa.
On the first day, the subunits took part in fifteen all-arms competitions, the so-called tactical loop. Among other tasks, they built a Dakota Fire Hole, evacuated a wounded person from the battlefield, crossed a 100-metre section of contaminated terrain wearing gas masks, and determined coordinates using the Range Nomogram.
The second day of the competition consisted of artillery events: determining the coordinates of a point in the field without using GPS, conducting reconnaissance and determining target coordinates.
Our artillerymen took second place. The cups and diplomas were presented to the best command and reconnaissance subunits by Colonel Andrzej Kupis, Head of the Training Branch and Deputy Head of the Rocket Forces and Artillery Board of the Land Forces Inspectorate of the General Command of the Branches of the Armed Forces, and Lieutenant Colonel Roman Piotrowski, Deputy Commandant of the Artillery and Armament Training Centre.
