11th Armoured Cavalry Division was represented at the competition by the topographic team of the 23rd Artillery Regiment, consisting of:
- plut. Mariusz Skrętowski,
- st. szer. Patryk Krzysiek,
- st. szer. Aleksandra Stec,
- szer. Samuel Zarobny.
The soldiers competed in five events, including:
- a theoretical and practical knowledge test. (The task involved testing the theoretical and practical knowledge required of topographic team commanders in their assigned positions);
- reading map content. (The task involved correctly reading 10 conventional signs shown on the map. Participants had to correctly interpret the signs and record the explanations on the answer card they received);
- determining geographic coordinates. (The task involved determining geographic coordinates as accurately and quickly as possible. Participants had to correctly read the geographic coordinates and record them on the answer card they received. The same three terrain points were indicated on the map for all participants);
- determining distance based on a resection from a short baseline. (The entire team had to tackle this task);
- a hanging traverse – also a team event. (The task was to determine the plane rectangular coordinates of the point indicated by the judge and the topographic azimuth determined magnetically to a given terrain point).
The committee from the Toruń Centre, consisting of Capt. Piotr Krupa, Senior Warrant Officer Jacek Ruciński and Warrant Officer Wojciech Sowa, supervised the smooth running of the competition and the fair and efficient counting of points.
The team from the 23rd Silesian Artillery Regiment from Bolesławiec took first place in the competition, the team from the 21st Podhale Rifle Brigade came second, while the team from the 11th Masurian Artillery Regiment from Węgorzewo took the final place on the podium.
