The performance by the young vocalists took place on Monday, December 8, at the Galeria Zdolnych of the Młodzieżowy Dom Kultury. During the concert, the audience listened to 12 songs. Participants in the vocal studio classes performed songs from the repertoires of, among others, Urszula (“Dmuchawce, latawce, wiatr”), Irena Jarocka (“Śpiewam pod gołym niebem”), Beata Kozidrak (“Siedzę i myślę”) and Maryla Rodowicz (“Szparka sekretarka”). They concluded the performance with the song “In God We Trust” from the musical “Metro”.

“It is our tradition not to give grades in vocal classes. Our students have the opportunity to test their abilities precisely during concerts,” says Marek Łętowski, director of the MDK. “We organize them whenever almost any opportunity arises. This year we were unable to do so on Valentine's Day, so we decided to prepare a concert for Women's Day.”

This time, more advanced vocalists performed on stage, including members of the Bożeny Out Of Town band. “The repertoire was quite varied and demanding. These were not simple pop songs,” emphasizes the head of the Młodzieżowy Dom Kultury.

“Our concerts are always a major experience for the children. I hope the same was true for the women sitting in the audience,” Marek Łętowski emphasizes. “I know that some men invited their loved ones to this concert as a Women's Day gift.”

The next performance by the MDK students will take place at the turn of April and May.
