Last Wednesday, Kamil Barczyk, head of the Healthcare Team in Bolesławiec, told councillors of the Bolesławiec City Council about the investments planned by the county hospital. These included the construction of 133 assisted living apartments on the ZOZ grounds, where nearly 200 senior residents could find shelter.
“This is a groundbreaking investment which—I hope—will become well-known, fashionable and popular, even among hospitals,” the director noted. He added that the hospital had approximately one hectare of land that could be allocated for this purpose.
According to the head of the ZOZ, seniors will first of all be able to live in very comfortable conditions. Secondly, they will be able to seek the help of a doctor or nurse at any time.
When will the investment begin?
As K. Barczyk announced, if everything goes according to plan, construction work will begin as early as March next year. He added that he hoped that seniors not only from Bolesławiec County, but also from all over Poland, would find a safe haven here for the final years of their lives.
