The County Office is proposing a campaign in which money donated as a tax deduction will be used to purchase a resuscitation ambulance for the Bolesławiec ambulance service. “One percent of the tax paid by several thousand county residents will be enough to purchase a new ambulance,” says county governor Krzysztof Konopka.

How can you allocate 1% of your tax toward purchasing an ambulance?

You must complete your PIT tax return yourself. If your employer or the Social Insurance Institution has done this until now, you need to obtain the already completed PIT form and copy it, making one change.

In PIT-36, enter an amount equal to 1% of your annual tax in item 192, and in PIT-37, in item 123. Reduce the tax due to the tax office by the same amount.

Next, pay the amount calculated in this way—at a bank or post office—into one of the accounts listed below. In the transfer form’s payment description, enter “Karetka dla Powiatu.” Keep the transfer receipt, like other documents confirming PIT deductions, for five years in case of a possible inspection.

If there is a tax overpayment, the amount allocated to the purpose of our campaign will be refunded by the tax office within three months. If the PIT return for 2004 has already been filed, it is still possible to allocate 1% of the tax to “Karetki dla Powiatu” by correcting the return.
