Officers from the Legnica traffic police, while patrolling the A4 motorway, received information from the duty officer that two men were WALKING along the motorway. “The officers went to the indicated section of the A4 motorway, where at kilometre 83 (before the Szymanowice interchange) they noticed two men walking towards the border and stopping vehicles,” reports asp. Krzysztof Oleniacz from the Municipal Police Headquarters in Legnica.
The police intervened. As it turned out, the Afghans were staying in the territory of the Republic of Poland illegally. According to the officers’ findings, the foreigners had been brought to Poland from Serbia by a Turk, who dropped them off near the A4.
Spokesperson: “Wanting to get to Germany, the men decided to look for another means of transport.”
He adds:
After the necessary procedures had been completed, the men were handed over to Border Guard officers.
