Because almost everything relies on transport, whether passenger or freight, increasingly higher fuel prices are driving up the prices of products and services. Back in February this year, we wrote that fuel prices in Bolesławiec had exceeded PLN 5 per litre. Currently, only very little is needed for the price of basic fuels (Pb 95 and diesel) to reach PLN 6 per litre. In the near future, the psychological barrier of PLN 6 will most likely be exceeded, once again affecting price increases in other sectors of the economy. It is worth noting that the price of PLN 6 per litre has already been exceeded for premium fuels.

Fuel is not the most expensive in Bolesławiec

Contrary to some statements on internet forums, Bolesławiec is not a city where fuel prices are the highest. That used to be the case, before the Tesco station was opened. Currently, fuel prices in Bolesławiec do not differ significantly from the average fuel prices in Poland.

According to data from Polska Izba Paliw Płynnych as of 22 October 2021, the average retail price of a litre of diesel was PLN 5.95. The average price of a litre of 95-octane petrol was 5.92 PLN. Meanwhile, the average price of LPG was PLN 3.20.

Fuel prices at individual stations in Bolesławiec are not uniform, however. Fuel can be purchased for a few groszy less than the national average at stations in the eastern part of the city. Fuel prices in the city centre and in the west are a few groszy higher than the national averages.
