23 Śląski Pułk Artylerii in Bolesławiec: – The purpose of the training conducted as part of the field exercises for subunits of the 23rd Artillery Regiment was to improve practical skills in safely arming and detonating explosive charges by hand, as well as using explosives to construct fortified positions.
Before the training began, its leader, Second Lieutenant Kacper Grejć, familiarized the participants with the regulations and safety conditions applicable during mine-laying work. The soldiers then proceeded to prepare an electric training blasting circuit. This part of the training was conducted by Corporal Dawid Rajczakowski, an instructor from the sapper patrol, who, sharing his sapper experience, emphasized safety and the correctness of the activities performed at every stage of the training.
After discussing and practically preparing the blasting circuit, the artillerymen were able to observe the results of their work while detonating the explosive. The final subject covered during the training was setting up a single “Płomień-60” signaling and illumination mine.
Unit: – In addition to the regular soldiers of the 3rd Rocket Artillery Squadron, the exercises were also attended by reservists taking part in the field training of the 23rd Artillery Regiment’s subunits, who improved their skills in using sapper equipment in combat operations.
During the training review, Second Lieutenant Grejć assessed that its objective had been achieved, while the practical skills and theoretical knowledge acquired in constructing fortified positions would be used in further training.
