– The duty officer at the District Police Headquarters in Lwówek Śląski received a report about a man who made purchases at one of the stores in Lwówek Śląski, paying for them with a banknote with a denomination of PLN 50 that was probably counterfeit – reports Sergeant Olga Łukaszewicz, press officer for the Lwówek KPP. – In this case, the officers launched an investigation and secured the counterfeit banknote.
The 39-year-old was arrested and charged both with putting a counterfeit banknote into circulation and attempting to commit fraud “by seeking financial gain and causing another person to make an unfavorable disposition of their own property.”
