Officers from the Department for Combating Drug-Related Crime, supported by Wrocław counter-terrorism officers, carried out coordinated operations in Legnica County targeting drug-related crime. “Based on thoroughly conducted checks and surveillance, the officers identified a property where methamphetamine production might be taking place. On the basis of the collected evidence, police entered carefully selected buildings, where they found a complete production line used to manufacture psychotropic substances in the form of methamphetamine, significant quantities of the drug, and two people involved in producing the prohibited substance,” says junior warrant officer Przemysław Ratajczyk of the Provincial Police Headquarters in Wrocław.
He adds: “When the officers entered the buildings, the men inside still attempted to erase traces and destroy evidence of their illegal activities by setting the rooms on fire; however, the police’s swift and decisive actions thwarted the attempt.”
A total of nearly 7,300 retail portions of methamphetamine, marijuana, and three canisters containing 6 liters of liquid were seized. The liquid was submitted for laboratory testing.
The men, arrested in the act, were temporarily detained for three months at the prosecutor’s request. Spokesperson:
