The heating season began on schedule, in accordance with requests submitted by heat consumers, namely the Housing Cooperative and Housing Communities, and the start dates for heat delivery specified in those requests.

The start of the heating season was preceded by the necessary maintenance and renovation work on the heat source and the heating network. To avoid possible breakdowns, the network was gradually heated in accordance with procedures so that it could be quickly put into operation.

Our regular customers supplied by 236 heat substations, including the relatively new customers from the Market Square and surrounding area, can enjoy heat for central heating, domestic hot water and ventilation. ZEC supplies heat to approximately 36% of Bolesławiec residents, as well as to industry and public-sector customers.

This year, further connections were made, including the building on Prusa Street managed by TBS in Bolesławiec, the new Police headquarters and a residential building on Staroszkolna Street. In the following years, plans call for the connection of the County Hospital, PKS, the Electronic Schools Complex, buildings on the site of the former Eastern Railway Station, the new Fire Service headquarters and others.

“We encourage further Housing Communities located near the heating main, including those in the Old Town area—Market Square, Prusa, Armii Krajowej, Braci Śniadeckich and Kościelna streets—to connect their residential buildings to the district heating system, which will certainly improve residents’ safety and comfort,” says Jarosław Kowalski, President of ZEC.
