On Thursday (February 18), Bolesławiec police conducted the “Seat Belts” operation. The operation was carried out from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. In total, 122 cars were stopped and inspected in Bolesławiec. In 97 cases, the inspection ended with a fine because the vehicle occupants were not wearing seat belts. Driving without a seat belt carries a PLN 100 fine and 2 penalty points.

Bolesławiec police announce that they will repeat the operation. Its aim is to make drivers and passengers aware that driving without wearing seat belts is dangerous, especially in the event of an accident or collision. Police officers will also check whether drivers are transporting children in special child safety seats.
