Once again, all one can say is it’s enough to make your hands drop. At the Miedziak reservoir, between Chościszowice and Kraśnik Górny, there is one enormous rubbish dump. As if that were not enough, someone has started burning some of the waste there. A layer of burned plastic is already covering the ground...
This is the message we received from a reader:
The illegal rubbish dump at “Miedziak” continues to thrive. In addition, someone has set up a waste incinerator, where they are clearly burning plastic and other rubbish.
Plastic containers that once held chemicals, old mattresses and polystyrene are floating in the water. These are just a few photographs illustrating the situation.
We appeal to the relevant services to address this problem.

Nadleśnictwo Bolesławiec informed us that the waste photographed by the reader was recently collected—and removed from the reservoir—by employees of the forestry district and the fire brigade. The waste is already prepared for removal. This is scheduled to take place on July 20.
