– Last Friday, the Legnica police duty officer was informed that an Audi stolen overnight from Germany was travelling along the A4 motorway from Bolesławiec to Legnica, reports Asp. Anna Grześków of the Municipal Police Headquarters in Legnica. – Several patrols from the Municipal Police Headquarters in Legnica and the Police Station in Chojnów were immediately sent to the scene, tasked with stopping the vehicle as quickly as possible.

When the traffic police spotted the vehicle, they moved to stop it. Spokesperson:

Unfortunately, the driver failed to respond to the signs and signals issued by the police officers, accelerated sharply and turned onto a national road.

During the coordinated operation, the duty officer continuously informed the officers of the pursued car’s location, enabling them to block possible escape routes.

The result? In less than 15 minutes, the chase ended with the swift and efficient arrest of a 32-year-old resident of Lubin County. The man was taken to a police cell, and the car, worth €12,000, was secured.

The detainee has already been charged with burglary; he faces up to 10 years in prison.
