The incident occurred on Monday, June 7, in the evening, in one of the localities in Gromadka commune. Bolesławiec District Police Headquarters:
Bolesławiec police officers received a report about a man destroying his neighbour’s door. The duty officer sent officers from Legnica to intervene; they were serving in Bolesławiec County at the time.
The Legnica officers determined that the vandal had damaged not only the door but also a parked vehicle. (He smashed the lights and damaged the fender.)
The 31-year-old hid from the police, but was quickly arrested. An axe was also secured.
District Police Headquarters:
Based on the collected evidence, officers from the Police Station in Kruszyn brought four charges against the arrested man because the perpetrator not only damaged the victims’ property but also threatened them.
The arrested man pleaded guilty. He explained that he knew the victims and had reasons for behaving this way. He now faces between three months and even five years in prison.
