Police officers from Lubań received a report that a concerned family had been unable to contact one of their relatives. The circumstances of the entire incident were established at the scene. A crime-scene investigation team, including a forensic technician, worked at the scene. Procedural activities conducted by the police confirmed that the 34-year-old had physically and psychologically abused the woman for a long time.
The District Court in Lubań remanded the suspect in temporary custody for three months. The man could face life imprisonment.

The woman was transported by an LPR helicopter to a hospital in Legnica. She is in critical condition. The prosecutor charged Krzysztof S. with attempted murder of his mother.
Even more frighteningly, in November 2020 the suspect attacked forest rangers in the woods. He attacked them with a metal rod. One of the rangers used a firearm to incapacitate the attacker. Following the attack, Krzysztof S. was placed in temporary custody.
“Observation and expert opinions confirmed that Krzysztof S. was insane. Therefore, the prosecutor submitted a motion to the court to discontinue the criminal proceedings against him and impose a preventive measure ordering psychiatric treatment in a closed institution,” prosecutor polsatnews.pl spokesman Tomasz Czułowski, press officer of the District Prosecutor’s Office in Jelenia Góra, told the website.

However, the court of first instance only ordered Krzysztof S.’s release from custody, which took place on 31 March this year. The prosecutor appealed that decision of the court of first instance, and on 19 April 2021 the District Court in Jelenia Góra upheld the prosecution’s appeal, ruling that the suspect should be remanded in custody again. However, this decision could no longer be enforced.
