The tragedy occurred on Sunday at the 102nd kilometre of the A4 motorway, near Mikołajowice. “Initial findings indicate that the driver of an Infiniti most likely failed to adjust his speed to the road conditions, lost control of the vehicle, broke through the crash barriers and then rolled over, coming to a stop in a ditch,” reports Junior Asp. Aleksandra Pieprzycka of the Provincial Police Headquarters in Wrocław. “As a result of the incident, the driver and passenger of the car died at the scene. A prosecutor and a court-appointed expert in the reconstruction of road accidents were present at the scene.”
Proceedings in this case are being conducted by the District Prosecutor’s Office in Legnica. Police:
We appeal to drivers to be especially alert and prudent now, when weather conditions on the road are changing, and above all to ease off the accelerator.
