Officers from the Police Station in Kruszyna detained a man suspected of a property crime. KPP:
The 27-year-old resident of Gromadka municipality pretended to shop at a supermarket located in a neighboring municipality and stole 45 chocolate bars and 3 packs of cigarettes. The thief put his loot in a backpack and left the store.
Officers recovered the stolen chocolate bars. They established that the thief intended to sell the sweets. (The cigarettes he stole for himself, the suspect had already smoked).
The man confessed to the crime. He now faces a sentence of between three months and as many as five years in prison.
