They Steal in Our Forests and Sell the Loot to the Dutch! Turks and Ukrainians Among the Perpetrators

Nadleśnictwo Bolesławiec reported:

Last week, our Forest Guard caught an organized group red-handed, illegally cutting bilberry bushes on a large scale!!!

The perpetrators (mainly citizens of Turkey and Ukraine) were fined PLN 1,000, while the cut plants were secured. It was established that they were intended for the Dutch market, where, sold in small bundles, they are used as Easter decorations in the period leading up to the holidays. This practice is carried out on a large scale throughout the entire Bory Dolnośląskie.

Please pass on information if anyone notices people cutting bilberry bushes!!!

Nadleśnictwo handed the secured plants over to the participants of the Occupational Therapy Workshops.
