On 5 January, three historic monuments were illuminated: the Kutuzov Monument, the Museum of Ceramics and the Marian Sanctuary of the Assumption of the Mother of the Church.

Illuminating the museum produces good results. The church illumination, however, looks less impressive. Even lighting of the entire structure obscures its interesting details. Nevertheless, the lighting will certainly improve the safety of the historic details, which have already been damaged several times.

The city’s plans include illuminating further historic sites. As funds become available for additional illumination projects, the following will be lit: the churches at Zamkowy Square and on Ceramiczna Street, the courthouse and the stone railway viaduct.
