On Monday, 8 March, between 5:00 and 9:00 a.m., Bolesławiec traffic police conducted intensified checks of drivers’ sobriety. KPP:

Police checked 146 drivers travelling on roads in Bolesławiec County. In 4 cases, the test result was positive, meaning that the drivers got behind the wheel despite having consumed alcohol earlier.

Two drivers, aged 40 and 51, were drunk. Another two—aged 34 and 45—got behind the wheel after consuming alcohol, which is still a misdemeanor rather than a criminal offence. All four had their driving licences suspended. The first two also face up to two years in prison.
